Privacy Policy

This policy explains how StrixGeo handles personal data on strixgeo.com, in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Who is responsible

The data controller is:

• Robin Vorsselmans — running the StrixGeo project as a private individual (a self-employed registration is in progress)

• Company number / VAT: not yet registered — will be added once incorporated

What we collect, and why

• Your email address, when you submit the signup form — used only to email you about the bèta and launch. Legal basis: your consent (you confirm via a double opt-in email).
• Your email address again, if you request bèta access on the Download page — used to send you the download link and your bèta key. Legal basis: your consent / steps prior to a contract.
• Basic server logs (IP address, timestamp, browser) are kept by our hosting provider for security and to operate the site. Legal basis: legitimate interest in keeping the site secure.

We do not use analytics, advertising, or social-media trackers, and we do not sell or rent your data.

Who processes it for us

• MailerLite — stores the list and sends the emails on our behalf (our processor). MailerLite may process data outside the EEA; where it does, this is covered by appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
• Combell — hosts the website and email (Belgium / EU).
• YouTube (Google) — only on pages with an embedded tutorial video; see the Cookie Policy.

How long we keep it

Your email stays on the list until the launch campaign is done, or until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it — whichever comes first. Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask us to give you access to, correct, delete, restrict, or port your data, and you can object to processing or withdraw consent at any time. Email info@strixgeo.com and we'll act on it. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit).
